Be Healthy and Green for Long Happy Life!
Having grown up in Troy and now living in the Rochester area, Colleen loves the four seasons that Michigan provides. She is the fourth of eight children and has one sister who still lives in Michigan.
After graduating from high school, getting married and having children, Colleen went back to school to study her loves, music and art. She attended Macomb Community College and then on to Oakland University. Colleen is a Master Doll maker and has had an in home business teaching others on the fine art of making porcelain dolls.
In our home we house three dogs that can be challenging but a lot of fun and entertaining. They aren’t what you would consider spoiled, although they have my husband and I well trained. When in my studio making porcelain dolls, all three dogs need to be right by my side as if they want to stop me from escaping out the back door.
I love to grow roses, lilies and other things and as an avid gardener, it wasn’t any work to plant and take care of what I was growing in a natural way. My seven siblings and I grew up growing our own fruits and vegetables and learned to respect nature naturally. I started becoming aware of the whole green global warming thing when my son was in kindergarten. He came home and told me about earth day. I remember thinking what a wonderful idea. So we checked into it and found many of the things that were suggested we already were doing.
